Catalyst is a project created and presented by Dawn Ertl, started in 2019.
The web-based project highlights art & artists inspired by science.
It's in response to The Getty's announcement highlighting science-based artworks for the next Pacific Standard Time.
I hope this site will help broaden the scope of ideas included in the consideration of connections between science and art. As an artist inspired by science, I have found it challenging to find sources that catalog and reference artists inspired by science.
In a way, this site is also for me because I want these references readily available.
